The purpose of processing is to fulfill the public tasks assigned to us by law, in particular to inform the public.
Unless otherwise stated, the legal basis for the processing of your data arises from Article 4 Paragraph 1 of the Bavarian Data Protection Act (BayDSG) in conjunction with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Subparagraph 1 Letter e of the General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO). We are therefore permitted to process the data required to fulfill a task incumbent on us.

To avert threats to security in information technology, data can be forwarded to the State Office for Security in Information Technology and processed there on the basis of Article 12 ff. of the Bavarian E-Government Act.

- If incorrect personal data is processed, you have the right to have it corrected (Art. 16 DSGVO).

- If you have consented to the processing or there is a contract for data processing and the data processing is carried out using automated procedures, you may have the right to data portability (Art. 20 DSGVO).

When you access this or other websites, you transmit data to our web server via your Internet browser. The following data is recorded during an ongoing connection for communication between your internet browser and our web server:
- Date and time of the request
- Name of the requested file
- Page from which the file was requested

Videos from the external video platform YouTube are embedded on our website. Only when you allow the videos to be played by clicking on “Accept” do you give your consent for the necessary data (including the Internet address of the current page and the user’s IP address) to be transmitted to the operator. Information that you send to us unencrypted by electronic mail (e-mail) may possibly be read by third parties during transmission. We generally cannot verify your identity and do not know who is behind an email address. Legally secure communication via simple email is therefore not guaranteed. Like many email providers, we use filters against unwanted advertising (“SPAM filters”), which in rare cases automatically classify normal emails as unwanted advertising and delete them. We will always automatically delete emails that contain harmful programs (“viruses”).
If you want to send sensitive messages to us, we recommend encrypting and signing them to prevent unauthorized access and falsification during transmission or sending the message to us by conventional mail.

As part of our press and public relations work, photos and videos are taken at events and appointments in which you may be recognizable. You can object to recording and/or publication. Please use the contact details of the data protection officer mentioned above to lodge your objection.
Events organized by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy
The Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy also acts as an organizer or co-organizer of various events. If you are invited to or participate in an event, the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy processes personal data (name, address, etc.). The personal data will not be transmitted to third parties without authorization, but will be stored and processed for internal use by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy and for the purpose of organizing and handling events (e.g. creating guest lists, enabling access controls, etc.). The Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy can arrange for the data to be passed on to one or more processors who use the personal data on behalf of the Bavarian State Government only for internal use that is attributable to the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy.
Depending on the type of event, the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy acts as a co-organizer alongside another cooperation partner. In these cases, the data collected for event purposes will be transmitted to our cooperation partners, whereby they may also use the data exclusively for this purpose of properly handling the event. Which cooperation partners these are in each individual case will be communicated separately as part of the organization of the event.
The data is only stored for as long as is necessary for the organization and execution of the events as well as for our tasks in the area of public relations for the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy.
